The piece is a visual representation of the idea that hand and analog printing methods are slowly being lost from the design world. The piece communicates this by reversing the print process. The printers become the surface displaying the images, using light as the ink, and slide projectors as the means of reproduction. Antique Magic Lanter incomplete with glass slides

We have here almost all of a Magic Lantern (I presume from the late 19th Century, that is, Victorian) and its metal carrying case. Unfortunately one of the lenses is broken, Magic Lantern could be restored to its true glory with some love and tender care. Have also included all of the glass slides that came with the Magic Lantern, they are old and in need of some love and tender care which you can see from my short film on youtube. Two of the slides have Mickey Mouse on them. I don't know any thing about Magic Lanterns and glass slides.
